Skating, training and plans for the winter

I have spent the most of my summer skating. I try to put in two hours a day atleast five days a week. It's way harder than schralping wich is cool because it makes me concentrate more, be on top of my game. I am not a great skate by any means but i know how to hang and enjoy the challenge allways.

I have been lucky enough to find a crew of very talented youngsters to rip with this summer. Termite ludwig and Parker Elowsky
Termite is a Cali native who moved to Michigan a few years back. He steadily progressing into one hell of a wood pusher. laid back style and powerfull pop.

Parker is 13 years old and intimidates the hell out of me when we skate together.
At such a young age he has allready developed full on style that improves every time he skates. super good attitude as well, he just loves it!

My broseph Todd Moore flew back from Mass for a week to hang in the beautiful Charlevoix and skate with his crew. Always a fun time.

Skating is great for me, like i said i'm not super good but i feel like it tightens up my snowboarding. I always feel more confident on snow after a good summer of skating.

I have been thinking a lot about this upcoming season and decided that i should set some goals for myself.
so here is my list of goals for the 09/2010 season.
1. Compete in two open class events. probly Colorado and the east coast.
2.Take top 2 every local event entered.
3. top ten u.s.a.s.a nationals open class.
4. pull in some legit video and photo.

In preperation for this long winter and meeting the goals for i have set I have been training by riding a road bike 20 miles every day and running a mile or two after.
My legs are getting much stronger and my knees are hurting less so its for sure helping.

anywase.
I hope that soon i will have some pics of our baby "hucker" to put up.

Why Charlevoix Michigan?

I am often asked by people why i would ever move back to Michigan after living out west and riding real mountains. The truth is, I love the water, I love being around my fam and I love fishing.
