Carney and I have a funny relation. Turns out he used to manage the park at Nub's Nob, the job i currently hold during the winter months. Either way, he moved out west years ago and now doe's his own thing in and around the Tahoe area, judging events, filming and consulting with snowboard brands.

It was super cool to meet Shawn and talk about the mid-west scene with him.
We stopped at Shawn's pad for a few minutes to grab our loaner car, then we were outy.

Mr.Carney chauffeured us up to Squaw Valley USA and got us set up with this awesome condo, so pumped on it.

Our rooms were a short walk from the gondola which made our morning commute up the mountain super easy.

The first night in the condo we un-packed, did a little bit of work and then passed out for the night.
Jon Mon doing some work
Philly passed out!

We woke up the next morning to rain at the base and hardly visible conditions at mid mountain, plus the tram was out of action for the day! bummer.. So Philly decided to stay in and get some work done on the computer while Jon Mon and I went to explore the mountain.
We lasted about 5 runs before we couldnt take it anymore and came back inside.
The weather was just crap, but for sure worth getting out to see what Squaw was all about. and from what i could tell Squaw was all about steeps, deeps and exposure.
Coming back in completely soaked after 5 runs.

After not getting any shots on hill due to the weather, Jon and I decided that we better accomplish something!
So we set up for the interviews for the promotional video we were set to shoot for Liquid BoardWear.

We got what we needed and were feeling pretty hungry so Philly said "lets go get some SUSHI".

Mama Sake's sushi was damn good. the place also had an awesome vibe! Bringing the food out on skate decks, such good style.
We were stuffed and tired from a long day so we rolled back to the condo and it was lights out.
