I jumped off the plane, went to grab my board bag and there he was, Jon Mon Chillen at the baggage claim with a big'ol smile on his face!
I had'nt seen the Mon in a year and i was super pumped to meet up with my good friend.
Jon decided to come out to California with me, number 1 to help film and number 2 so he could catch some late season shredding.
After hanging for a little while and catching up at the Reno airport Jon and I decided to bounce downtown for a while and play some games while we waited for Philly from Liquid BoardWear to pick us up.
After coming up on a few slot machines we realized how hungry we were after all those flights so we hit up the hotel concierge about good food in the area.
The guy was way cool and recommended The Golden Nugget Dinner so we bounced out looking for this famous resteraunt.
The hotel concierge was right, The Golden Nugget Dinner was the shit!
An awesome "Give me your Fu**in order" atmosphere and super good food!
After we got done eating my phone rang and it was Philly letting us know that he was just meeting up with our trip guid and Tahoe local Shawn Carney. I told them where we were and they booted down town to pick us up.
It turns out that Shawn is from MI and actualy used to be the park manager at Nub's Nob, which oddly enough is my current job.
Anywase that was Reno with Jon Mon in a nut shell.
Next stop, Squaw Valley CA !
